Holiday

It's the summer Hols and I probably should of posted this before the majority have gone on their Hols but the best thing about the summer holidays it comes every year! So here are some tips that I will share with you all ...
-Instead of a towel at the beach to lie on try a inflatable lilo, it's higher , it's more comfortable and there is less chance of being covered in sand! +you can take it in the sea !
- buy a tangle teaser, this is my first year with one and when your swimming and getting all sorts in your hair, you need to be gentle when brushing your hair or you'll have non left and split ends! Tangle teasers and gentle on your hair, work super well , and puts a shine through your hair! Minimum effort on your Hols
- carry moisturiser at all times! As well as the usual au cream etc etc moisturiser is a vital most forget about! If you are going to a hot place your skin will dry out!
- toothpaste soothes mosquito bites!
- lemon juice will lighten your hair
-it's an obvious drink lots of water! Not only will the heat dry you out so will swimming and sun bathing! You will feel healthy and better for it!!
- if a restaurant is too keen for you to eat with them its more likely not going to be the best.
- don't make eye contact with street sellers or walking musicians they won't leave you alone until they give you money!!
- enjoy it's your holiday it's meant to be enjoyable a positive and open Mind will help you do this !
- try new foods it may not always look great but it could become your favourite food!

Well I hope you have a great holiday if your going abroad or staying at home ! Enjoy

Exam life ya'll

Welcome cousins, a'cmon by

That lovely little verse is from Lilo and Stitch - my favourite Disney movie and is a nice way to start this blog post off and to sweeten anyone up who has realised I haven't posted in aggggesssss. Sorry :)

Just a quick update about life at the moment! I have started revising for my GCSE's as its only 72 many days till my first exam (RE) and then it's just a whirlwind of fun after that with a further 16 (I think including art) more exams! My main concern is keeping on top of everything and not getting stressed! I think the motto keep calm and carry on really does concern everyone in year 11 at the moment! My main fear is that I'll do all of this revision and I'll blank everything in the real thing! But in a weird kind of way I'm excited for it, I'm excited for the long holiday and the relief once they're over.... It's going to be a ball... Kind off.
Well to everyone taking exams this year stay calm, stay focused, and stay extra sparkly!
Love holly 💕

Fairy photos

As you should know from my last blog post I am redoing my room! And I promised a blog post on my photos.
I wanted a personal touch in my room to make it my room and not just four walls. I have always liked photos and taking them so it was a fun project for me to do!
Here's a photo of my 'fairy photos' ... It's a photo of a photo!

Basically I bought some really long white fairy lights with various  settings and strung them up in rows in the corner of my room. I used little plastic sticky tab hooks to secure them (can be bought at most DIY shops)
I got the photos printed off of the website photobox, it's really good as it's quite cheap, quick delivery and you can say whether you want the photos matte or shiney. Another reason why I like photobox is because before you order it tells which photos won't come out as clear which is good because your not wasting your money. I attached with paper clips onto the fairy lights but I've also seen it done with hole pouched ribbon and pegs. And voila your done!

And that's pretty much it, it's as simple as that! Next blog post on my room will be about accessories and where I bought them from and fun stuff like that!
Tah tah xx

Plans and Progress

It feels like i have been redecorating my room or redoing my room for what seems like forever! I still haven't finished but i thought i would tell you of my plans and what i have done so far...... lets begin!  My room is a darkish teal colour all the way round,  very similar to the colour below.

I am currently mid process in painting all my wooden furniture white with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. The reason why i have stopped is that the Pure white i am using is showing the wooden knots underneath no matter how many coats i put on it. I will be buying the Old white very soon to go over the top, there won't be much difference but it will make the furniture look a little more rustic and shabby chic, and won't show the knots! The pure white is better to use if you have a light peice of furniture to start of with, with no variation in colour.
The Annie Sloan chalk paint is really good because you don't have to prime or file the wood before you start and it goes on really well. You have the option to have it a smooth finish or with texture. The down side to Annie Sloan paint is it is a little bit on the expensive side. A taster pot can be bought for £5.95 for a 100ml and a litre pot for £18.95. They come in all sorts of colours and is a really good quality paint!

Here is a collage of my furniture, this is the first blog post on my room, the next will be about my photos in my room! So enjoy !
Btw I painted my
•bookshelf
•bed side cabinet
•mirror frame
• and I will be doing my wardrobe soon!
I also changed the nobs to match my room for added detail!
My new nobs
I hope you enjoyed this blog post and will look forward to the next! Xx

Beach ball madness

I bellow hello to you all, today is a chit chatty day as I'm very bored. I am meant to be doing a Baden Powell weekend to get my award but the weather has let us down and so has the itinerary! So at the moment I'm sat in a room with my friends (Eliza, Alice and Emily) doing a great lot of nothing.
On the upside I bought a beach ball- because that is a very normal thing to do when your truly bored. So after a few huffs and puffs I blew dat thang up.

Then I thought .... Let's have some fun with this beach ball so this is all the stuff we did with it - this is what boredom does to someone.
Exhibit 1
Obviously we drew a face on it - how could you not ?!

Then we threw it in Eliza's face
Action shot! Ka-pow

And then we threw it at Emily .....
I couldn't throw it at Alice because she was painting Eliza's nails, but just look at them! You can check out Alice's nail blog it's 'having a nail of a time'
I apologise this isn't the most exciting blog post ever but there you go!
Ta taa <3 (personally I don't think that looks like a heart more like boobs but just take my word for it )

Ninja spiders and stuff

I have an itchy eye, nothing to do with the post today but it's an observation to start it off! Today's post is about habits, and tells , all my habits and tells and my friends that I know of because it's always fun knowing that some people are weirder than you.... So here we go 👍

1. If I pick something of the floor like a cushion or something I always shake it before it comes fully near me because I think there will be a ninja spider hiding there waiting to attack me, so I shake it.
2. My friend will always say maybe if you ask her something she doesn't want to do instead of no.
3. I have another friend that will always try and trick you into believing something that's false but she will widen her eyes and have a huge smile and her voice will go 2000x higher than normal , it's an easy tell
4. If I'm home alone I feel the need to sing constantly - very loudly
5. I have a habit of walking into peoples rooms without knocking and then getting shouted at for it
6. I crack my knuckles and spread my toes when I'm nervous
7. Another friend has a habit of gripping your arm very tightly when she's excited she must have been a python in a previous life because if you try and escape she gets tighter
8. The same friend laughs like a dying seal when she finds something hilarious
9. I yawn weirdly when I'm falling asleep it's like I'm biting something and I make this noise
Hararararararara
10. Using a rediculas amount of emojis 👍😁😘
11. I have a habit of drawing attention to myself and then making a fool out of myself (the amazing jumping girl incident is another story)
12. I cry if I'm tickled
13. I'll cough if I'm lying (shouldn't have told that one everyone will know!)
14. Making lists
15. Leaving everything last minute
16. Checking my phone 1000000x times a day just in case there is a chance that I've actually got a text
17. Pulling weird faces at strangers by accident and then getting a disgusted one back
18. I will straighten my hair get bored and put it up all the time
19. Leave cups and glasses In my room for ages :/
20. Spend most of my money on food

So there you go some habits and tells I have noticed about myself and about others! Comment your habits of tells if you want , I have realised I write loads of lists in this blog so I apologies to any list haters out there - I will try not to next time, until then ta ta!

The Maybelline Baby Skin Pore Eraser

Let's write a right review...The Maybelline Baby Skin Pore Eraser

So I thought what the hell lets right a review! And then I thought what should I right a review on and then I remembered one of my favourites for this month....

The Maybelline Baby Skin Pore Eraser
Here's a picture if you have no idea what I'm going on about-
You may have heard of the popular Maybelline product Baby lips a lip balm that comes in lots of different flavours and types, but this is the Baby Skin a new product guaranteeing baby smooth skin. A big guarantee to make and especially to a teen like me with spots and blemishes all over the place! I was pleasantly surprised with the product and I think its as good as the 'pore professional' by benefit a much more costly product which I have tried too!

Advantages for the product:
  • Very light on the skin and isn't greasy on its own
  • An alternative to wearing a full face of makeup
  • good thin nozzle for easy appliance
  • nice packaging
  • good price especially for teenagers
  • good for spot free skin and evening out skin tone and hiding black heads
  • good size tube
  • if you go to school were your not allowed to wear makeup it is a good disguise
Disadvantages for this product
  • without a powder a liquid foundation does not sit well on the primer.
  • A powder keeps the makeup staying on longer not the baby skin
  • It takes a little longer to absorb because its more like a gel than a liquid
  • with a liquid foundation it makes the Baby skin greasy.
  •  white heads are still visible but what are you too expect you've got the rocky mountains on you face lets be fair!
Overall I think this is a good product is good, but if you do not like silicone based gel like products this isn't for you. the best way to describe it is a thick moisturizer which glides on easily on the skin and 'fills' your pores and that is why it doesn't cover up spots it isn't a concealer it clear! Don't be fooled by the small appearance this product will last you a long time, I have been using mine for about a month everyday now and it is still full and at £7.99 if it lasts 4 months that's roughly £2.00 a month for an everyday pore eraser! I think this is a good product and I hope I have persuaded you to try it out yourself if you haven't already and if you have leave a comment bellow on what you think! :)
